That article was a most interesting read! I felt glad the author shared the down-to-earth viewpoint with me; him writing about it reminded me of the countless silly texts I'd read in my pre-university days, senselessly blabbering about all sorts of cyber-future things. I vividly remembered my reactions to some of them, ranging from that's not how it works, silly, to do you even common sense, you freaking dipsh1t?! Some of them were just silly, others were outrageously stupid.

Though, I believe the problems he mentioned in the article are more problems in general than problems exclusive to the Internet. Just look at home many low quality things are being published, whether it's magazines or books or crappy television whatevers. I blame overpopulation and the excess of accessibility; I don't want to be that "90s/80s kid/50s grown-up mature adult who knows everything better," nor a communist dictator (a socialist dictator sounds nicer, and is closer to my political ideology) , but we could really use some censorship. Or at least restrictions in a sensible way.
There's just way too much information, everywhere, and most of it is junk, lies and fabrication; from naggy advertisements (both on- and offline) to manipulative sites through junk magazines. And so on. Most of the information is either outright fabrication, or contains minimal (if any) common sense.

Of course, this is where people go all "but muh freedom of speech durr." And, to a degree, they are right. But wouldn't the world be a nicer place if the information was filtered to a sensible degree before it gets outside?

I certainly don't believe God is the good guy. Believers and the Bible at several points claim God is loving, caring and forgiving.

God is punishing over 7 billion people for what 2 (!) people did, allegedly, thousands of years ago. How forgiving is that? Where's the fairness?
And that is just modern times; I can't even count all the people that had lived and had been punished before.
Our current world is like this - all the chaos and agony - allegedly, because Adam and Eve were expelled from Paradise/Garden of Eden. And for what - for being convinced into eating a forbidden fruit by someone who had not been previously mentioned in the Bible at all? Not only had God put the Tree of Knowledge exactly to the people whom he did not want to eat it, he completely disregarded Satan's actions.

This gives us at least three possibilities:
- God isn't fair
- God can't see everything
- God isn't omnipotent

As for why humans were created; God created man to work on the garden of Eden, and afterwards he created woman as a helper. The Bible says something like "man needs a helper."

I like the direction your Thought took. And I identify with the struggle of trying to not see things so black and white. Thoughts are weird.

I'd also like to say I don't think a person can be only good or only bad. It just isn't possible. There is no such thing as "saints." People can be "heroes," but (to me) a "hero" isn't someone 100% good, but someone who accomplished an extraordinary deed that made/allowed great progress.

About Hell, though;
I find the concept of Hell very, very strange. Or contradictory, rather.
It's the devil/Satan who (allegedly) resides in Hell, isn't it? He is "the one" who doesn't like God's ways and tries to overthrow him. People who don't oblige the way of God end up going to Hell. Why would Satan punish people basically doing what he wants? Why would he punish people he entrusted to carry out his will?
And if he punishes people for doing those sins against God, shouldn't Satan actually be the good guy?
